In Thick + Thin, Helpmann Academy 2024 residency artists Cameron Longshaw, Lauren Downton, Tiarnie Edwards and Chelsie Morey showcase a vibrant interplay of porcelain, clay, wood, and steel at The Gallery at St Peters Town Hall. Each artist pushes their medium in unique directions, challenging expectations. Their installations reveal the tension and harmony between materials—metal’s impermeability and clay’s earthiness, wood’s warmth and porcelain’s fragility. Thick + Thin encourages us to reflect on the sources of strength and vulnerability in both art and life.
